We received a call from one of our existing Motor Fleet clients asking us to quote their non-motor policies. We established that they had been running with a policy purchased from an online non-advisory broker many years ago when the business was considerably smaller. This left them woefully underinsured, and in the event of a claim, the client would have been vastly exposed.
We have a saying at Flint Insurance – ‘it is not just a piece of paper.’ Yes, the business had cover in place for the required limits, allowing them to get on site; however, it simply did not provide the correct level of cover.
